My approach is to listen to you carefully regarding any symptoms you are experiencing and help you overcome these issues most effectively. My goal is to help empower you both physically AND mentally so that you are able to reach your goals, big or small. Throughout the process - I am here for you. Let’s get you back to doing the things you love, because you deserve it.
At Monarch Physical Therapy & Wellness, we are Doctors of Physical Therapy as well as pelvic floor rehabilitation specialists. We are movement experts who improve quality of life through exercise, hands on care, stretches, and education to keep you going.
Physical therapy and pelvic floor rehabilitation can improve things such as urinary incontinence or frequency, pelvic pain, prolapse, back or hip pain, joint pain, discomfort with intercourse, generalized weakness, poor balance, and more.
We will help you learn how to manage your symptoms well after you are done working with us so that you never have to stop doing the things you love.
Believe it or not, my Bachelor’s Degree is actually in Accounting, and I started my career in corporate America long before I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Physical Therapist (just think - if you work with me not only can you receive therapy services but you also get free tax advice! Haha, kidding).
All jokes aside - I worked as an Accountant for a few years, but I hated every second of it. I knew that I wanted to do something to help other people, especially women, and accounting was likely not going to allow me to do this. So, I decided to go back to school and received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.
Throughout graduate school I had an interest in women’s health & pelvic floor rehabilitation, and shortly after I graduated I decided to become certified in pelvic floor rehabilitation through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
As women, we are already told by society that there are a million things wrong with our bodies, how we are doing things, or that we need to be “better” than we already are. My mission in this world is to help change these beliefs. I am so passionate about empowering women both physically AND mentally, because physical therapy is not just physically healing people. It’s helping them heal mentally too.
